The first start of FOSC's activity was with Bicten Syria and Forex-Nebton Rig 25 in Thayyem field by providing the following services:

Company Progress

FOSC Company Progress

Moreover, the company enlarged its services, whereas it started to fabricating and furnishing caravans according to the worldwide standards, erecting of full mud tank system, sand blasting with painting works and civil works construction. Following that, the company provided the rigs with full camps and mud tanks system.

As well as, FOSC focused its most care on lifting operations, which are considered the most risky activities. In which FOSC applied the periodic inspections for its lifting equipment by a recognized international Certifying Authority, hence all FOSC's lifting equipment have valid certificates. As well as, all of our drivers and operators have adequate training and experience to operate the equipment, tacking into consideration the proper maintenance system for our lifting equipment.

Due to the customers' needs, FOSC increased the number of its own hydraulic cranes (up to 40) and forklifts (up to 15) to response to its entire clients requirements. While the flourishing period of FOSC's works, and to keep-up the same level of quality and profession in providing its services as a mother company. FOSC started a new epoch of its development, in which it created a group of sections to serve the main company's aim as to provide the optimum services for rigs and oil companies.

Tacking into consideration that HSE is the first mission prior any performance and this criterion considered as the secret of business success.

Line management focused to issue a HSE Manual revealing the whole procedures and responsibilities for FOSC's staff, and ensuring that HSE rules are implemented accordingly.

The main activity of the construction section is constructing of well site locations, camp site location and access roads. In addition to building works (living quarters, offices, workshops, warehouses and yards).

Earthworks (excavation, backfill and restoration) and erection of metallic works (erection of full mud tank system, hangers, shelters, standard caravans, isolated metallic stores for food and materials, laying pipe lines with welding works inclusively and skid for drill pipes and materials).

Sand blasting and painting for (rigs, caravans, metallic facilities). Civil maintenance work for building, living quarters including but not limited to (painting, tiling, sanitary, electrical works, carpentry, and isolating works). Being FOSC OILFIELD SERVICES COMPANY is going along with the development and progress related to oil business, FOSC dedicated its care to establish many sections to handle and take exclusive particularization for each section while supplying of the oilfield services in accordance to the optimum manners. In which, this company were a part of that development whereas they were benefited from the governmental investment law.

FOSC transportation section is handling the Rig moves services and the transportation of: Materials, Chemicals, Drilling and Potable water, Diesel, crude oil, and Personnel. Whereas, they performed 900 rig moves with LTI.

Fleet Specifications

  • A fleet of modern heavy trucks worth as 80 trucks including but not limited to, truck trailers and low boys
  • Truck trailers, built on 2-4 axels capacity of 30 tons with two axels trailers 12m long & 2.5m width
  • Low boys built on 4-6 axels, capacity up to 100 tons with three axels trailers 12m long & 3.3m width
  • Water tankers, Diesel tankers and Crude oil tankers (7 m3, 15 m3 and 35 m3)
  • Light vehicles, Van (11 pass.) and Pick-ups (in between 1.5 tons and 3.5 tons)

All vehicles are equipped with all safety items and securing devices according the HSE standards and they are fit for purposes. Above-mentioned vehicles are operated through out well-trained and experienced drivers who are holding valid driving licenses and defensive driving permits. Such drivers are supplied with full Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance to HSE regulations. As well as, they have their own self-service team and workshop to perform the maintenance and repairs of the transport vehicles, whereas this workshop contain the whole spare-parts related to, and the proper tools to make such maintenance and repairs properly.

Moreover, transportation section is implementing HSE regulations and procedures in accordance to the oilfield HSE standards, which are considered as an integral part of oil business.

Lifting Equipment Detail

Lifting Operation Division — Established on 2000 to follow and perform the whole single activities with the customers. That division started with 5 telescopic cranes and two forklifts, and due to the clients' needs of these activities FOSC OILFIELD SERVICES COMPANY increased the number of owned cranes and forklifts until reached as 40 cranes and 15 forklifts with different capacities and types either self-propelled cranes or truck mounted cranes, whereas the said capacities are between 30 tons up to 100 tons (cranes), and 2.5 tons up to 10 tons (forklifts).

Such lifting equipment are equipped with the proper fire extinguishers and first aid boxes, in addition to safe load indicators and load charts in accordance to the manufacturer's manuals and recommendations. As well as, all FOSC's lifting equipment are certified properly by a recognized international Certifying Authority such as (Velosi, Petrolift and SGS).

FOSC has its own self-service team and workshop to chase up and follow the maintenance and repairs of the lifting equipment, whereas this workshop contain the whole spare-parts related to, and the proper tools to make such maintenance and repairs accordingly.

In this part, FOSC has its own trainer making the proper training courses for our lifting operators to meet the proper standard lifting operation procedures in accordance to the standard HSE regulations. All FOSC's lifting equipment operators are holding valid driving licenses type "H" via governmental authority.

Site Supervisor Ensures

  • Safe working load (SWL) and radius charts are available for all lifting equipment, machinery and tackle and SWL are marked on all such equipment
  • Color code every six month
  • All slings have a unique identification; a valid test certificate and the SWL are marked on each sling
  • Monthly inspection will be carried out and recorded in a logbook
  • All slings are stored clean, dry and free from grease and dirt and without links, on suitable racks

Equipment Standards

  • Fixed and running wire ropes are greased and inspected at one-month intervals and a registered maintained of this
  • All cranes are fitted with an audible warning device, which sounds when the crane reaches a preset overload limit
  • Cranes and side booms are positioned so that they lift vertically and are not used to pull loads sideways

Rig Move Operations

This activity is an integral part of FOSC Oilfield Services Company, in which FOSC provided this service for so many customers related to, therefore FOSC paid a special attention to the rig moving taking into consideration the precautions against these activities being are exposed to risks and hazards, especially that our customers have a time schedule for the each rig move and the rig move should be executed in accordance to the limit time defined by customers.

Hence FOSC is one of the first companies in Syrian Arab Republic providing this service to the drilling rigs, leaning on its own lifting equipments, (either self-propelled cranes or truck mounted cranes with different capacities), whereas the said capacities are in between (30 tons up to 100 tons) and forklifts (2.5 tons up to 10 tons) equipped with all safety devices due to the oilfield HSE standards.

All FOSC's lifting equipment are certified properly by a recognized international Certifying Authority such as (Velosi, Petrolift and SGS). FOSC has a fleet of modernist models of heavy vehicles including but not limited to, Truck trailers (built on 2-4 axels capacity of 30 tons with two axels trailers 12m long & 2.5m width) and Low boys (built on 4-6 axels, capacity up to 100 tons with three axels trailers 12m long & 3.3m width) which are equipped with all safety items and securing devices in accordance to HSE standards.

As FOSC executing rig move services according the oilfield standards, FOSC intended to use professional crews for the rig moves, which are consisted of:

  • Personnel (safety advisors, truck pushers, lifting supervisors) specialized in the rig move
  • Lifting equipment (cranes & forklifts) operators
  • Drivers of trucks, trailers & low boys
  • Lifting equipment (cranes and forklifts with different capacities)
  • Heavy vehicles (trailer trucks and low boys)

Such staff is experienced and holding valid driving licenses, in addition to they have a wide knowledge and experience for rig moves implementing the HSE rules and regulations. Furthermore, FOSC focused its thinking to brake the average time specified by the clients for the rig move, and applied that in professional manners, whereas this was one of the main targets we looked for.
